POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center, serving more than 150,000 guests annually. The Food Service Office Manager reports to the Association’s Food Service Director. The primary responsibility of the Food Service Office Manager is to support the Director with the administrative needs of the Food Service Department. Duties include but are not limited to: scheduling, payroll, staffing, departmental calendars, as well as liaison between Food Service and other EPC and EXO departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills; for example, friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional.
  • Prepare schedules for all Food Service Employee. Manage time off requests and monitor overtime.
  • Be fluent in written and oral English.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance and presentation.
  • Work holidays, weekends, a morning or evening shifts.
  • Have basic computer skills and develop knowledge of property management software.
  • Must possess a valid, USA state-issued driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Hotel and Restaurant operations management.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Ability to use Maestro Software.
  • Effectively coordinate with the Conference Office to ensure high levels of cooperation between the Conference Office and Food Service.
  • Order supplies necessary for the food service operation in coordination with the Association Food Service Director.
  • Manage and maintain the Food Service Banquet/Dining Hall and Cookout Calendar.
  • Track and record interdepartmental spending within the Food Service Department.
  • Oversight of the Department’s cash boxes.
  • Assist with Food Service’s Payroll info to HR Department.
  • Prepare, update and monitor PAF’s.
  • Work with HR and Association department heads to facilitate inter-departmental staff sharing.
  • Represent the Food Service department at key functions such as Orientation.
  • Manage credential and approved driver requests.
  • Assist with the department’s marketing materials such as Catering Packet and Pine Room Menus.
  • Manage the Food Service uniform inventory and uniform allocation to staff.
  • Brand Champion representative for Food Service.
