POSITION SUMMARY:

YMCA of the Rockies seeks a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Design & Content Creation Specialist to support the organization’s mission-driven marketing and communications efforts. This position focuses on producing engaging visual content for digital and print media, contributing to social media strategies, and enhancing guest experiences through impactful design and storytelling.

Scope of Influence:

  • Designs visual assets for a wide range of marketing materials, both digital and print. 
  • Collaborates with the Marketing & Communications Manager and other team members to align creative content with overall brand strategy. 
  • Manages content creation workflows and coordinates production timelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Graphic Design & Content Production (50%) 

  • Create high-quality visual assets including brochures, flyers, signage, social media graphics, and digital and print ads. 
  • Design layouts for newsletters, emails, and blog posts, ensuring brand consistency. 
  • Develop content for social media channels, with a focus on visually engaging posts in partnership with the Social Media Strategist. 
  • Produce photography and video assets for promotional use. 

Digital and Print Media Coordination (25%) 

  • Maintain and update website content to align with marketing goals. 
  • Craft guest-facing communications designed to drive bookings and engagement. 
  • Manage the production and distribution of print collateral and promotional materials. 
  • Develop and implement a user-generated content process. 

Brand Management & Quality Control (15%) 

  • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to YMCA brand guidelines. 
  • Coordinate the creation and procurement of YMCA-branded merchandise. 
  • Conduct regular audits of marketing assets to maintain brand consistency. 

Analytics & Strategy Support (10%) 

  • Track and analyze metrics related to content performance. 
  • Assist in the preparation of reports that inform creative strategies. 
  • Research new design trends and technologies to keep content fresh and engaging. 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom) and video editing software. 
  • Experience in graphic design for both digital and print media. 
  • Strong copywriting skills for marketing and promotional content. 
  • Familiarity with social media content creation, particularly TikTok and Instagram. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented. 
  • Experience in hospitality or tourism industry marketing preferred.
  • Knowledge of non-profit marketing strategies preferred.
  • Understanding of outdoor recreation and family-oriented content preferred.
