POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center, serving more than 150,000 guests annually. The Building Maintenance Tech – Staff Housing Specialist is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of all aspects of Estes Park Center’s staff housing, with a special emphasis on Glacier Lodge, the year-round staff housing neighborhood. The majority of the work will be ongoing building and grounds maintenance and repair as requested by the Buildings maintenance supervisor. Additional maintenance and repair work will also occur in all buildings at the EPC campus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as primary maintenance point person for all Glacier Lodge related maintenance and repair requests.
- Plan and prioritize projects and work time.
- Make repairs, perform maintenance and adjustments using plumbing, heating, electrical, and carpentry skills.
- Perform ongoing maintenance and repairs to grounds and landscaping.
- Requisition parts, materials and tools necessary to perform tasks assigned.
- Communicate with staff and as necessary.
- Possess a valid, USA state-issued driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.
- Possess stamina to work in the work environment described herein.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of two years of experience in a facility maintenance position.
- Knowledge of Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC required.
- Excellent public relations, time management, and organizational skills required.
- Must read and speak fluent English and have good hearing and eyesight abilities to accomplish tasks assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Work from ladders, scaffolding, on roofs, and in crawl spaces and attics.
- Work while standing during shift with frequent bending over and working with arms extended overhead.
- Physical effort with occasional heavy lifting and carrying of objects up to 100 pounds.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
