Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven knowledge and experience properly securing hosts, systems and networks according to security best practices aligned with one of the major security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Working experience with VMware vSphere administration & maintenance to include back-end storage, networking, etc.
- Working knowledge and experience in administering Active Directory
- Working knowledge of Office 365 administration tasks
- Sound understanding of Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 OS, M365 Exchange, MS SQL Server, Active Directory design, PowerShell , etc.
- Working experience using Veeam suite of tools
- Familiarity with ManageEngine (or similar) suite of tools for remote management and monitoring tasks
- Solid understanding of MS Office and troubleshooting techniques associated with common user issues
- Functional knowledge of networking principles and configuration of Cisco/Meraki switches, firewalls and other network devices
- Clear understanding of industry standard anti-virus platform such as Sophos
- Excellent documentation skills and process engineering capabilities
- An ability to interact clearly and politely with employees at all skill levels
- Clear understanding of remote support applications such as Teamviewer, etc.
- A willingness to learn new tech and the ability to grow
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data and make recommendations based on findings
- Meet assigned deadlines and make sound decisions
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance
- Ability to handle escalations from the support team and support manager
- On call as needed for problems and incidents
- After hours, weekend work occasionally required during pre-scheduled, off-hours maintenance windows.
MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS
- Successful Completion of Projects by Due Date
- Non-maintenance uptime exceeding 99.5% for system infrastructure
Minimum Qualifications
- 4 years of related experience with Infrastructure support in a corporate environment.
