Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Administrative Intern to join our Finance team. This position is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks within a fast-paced business environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Accounts Payable Projects  

  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of accounting records in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) 

  • Help reconcile bank statements and accounts 

  • Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents (both physical and digital) 

  • Contact vendors and partner organizations to convert to digital invoicing 

  • Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and presentations as needed 

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes 

  • Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team 

  • Communicate with vendors or internal departments to resolve discrepancies or gather required documents 

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university  

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools 

  • Familiarity with accounting software is a plus 

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills 

  • High attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity 

  • Ability to work in-person at Executive Office. 

  • Ability to model, explain and promote Tri Delta’s guiding principles, Purpose, and vision
