BILLING SPECIALIST

This is a corporate office position, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with most weekends and holidays off. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, we offer:

THE JOB
As a Billing Specialist, you’ll handle the full cycle of medical claims processing.  From initial submission to payment posting, follow-up, and appeals. You’ll work closely with insurance companies, track claim statuses, and resolve denials with persistence and professionalism. While you won’t work directly with patients, your role will directly impact our ability to deliver timely, high-quality care by keeping our revenue cycle efficient and accurate.

In this role, you will:

• Process and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and pursue appeals for denied claims.
• Post and review payments for accuracy and completeness.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with other departments.
• Maintain up-to-date records in billing software and reporting systems.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We’re looking for someone who:

• Has at least 2 years of medical billing experience (AdvancedMD or NextGen experience is a plus).
• Communicates clearly and professionally with insurance representatives and team members.
• Is highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Is comfortable with Microsoft Office and other billing/revenue cycle software.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of proven medical billing experience
• Eligibility to meet U.S. employment requirements
