This includes the delivery of evidence-based preventative care, chronic disease management, and addressing urgent care needs as indicated for our pediatric and adult patient population.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES 

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Assistant will perform a variety of financial, accounting, and clerical duties. This position can be onsite at our Old Tunnel clinic, remote, or hybrid. 

GENERAL DUTIES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.)

  1. File all financial records accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Scan invoices and documents received and follows companies naming convention.
  3. Maintain accounts payable email.
  4. Accounts Payable
  5. 1099 Preparation and Filing
  6. Record daily bank deposits and ACH activity.
  7. Must have a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer service skills, responding promptly to requests for additional information.
  8. Uphold Western Sierra Medical Clinic's Policies and Procedures, infection control standards, applicable state, federal and local laws.
  9. Quality Improvement Duties:
    1. Participates in quality improvement activities,
    2. Participates assigned in interdepartmental quality improvement team efforts; and
    3. Contributes to overall Community Health Center efforts in quality improvement towards higher-quality, more cost-effective health care for patients and improved quality of work-life for staff members.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

The salary range for this position is $25-30 per hour. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  2. Computer literate (familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel).
  3. Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
  4. Three years’ administrative and clerical experience.
  5. Two years’ experience Accounts Payable

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  1. Experience working with non-profit agencies; preferred FQHC experience.
  2. Computer literate, email, MS Office, and data entry skills required.
  3. Ability to type 45 wpm and utilize a ten-kay calculator.
  4. MIP Accounting Software experience a plus
