General Ledger (GL) Accountant

Position Summary: 
The GL Accountant is responsible for supporting monthly close and reporting processes, preparing account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s financial records. This role works closely with the broader accounting and finance teams to provide technical accounting support, assist in audit preparation, and deliver accurate financial information for internal and external stakeholders. This role will also work with the teams to streamline the close process and other accounting functions.

Responsibilites:

• Perform key period-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with close deadlines
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements around the close process and other accounting operations
• Support the year-end financial statement audit, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
• Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed

• Bachelor's Degree required in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
• 2-4 years of experience required, CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders 
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details   
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
• Experience working with Oracle NetSuite.
