Description

Babcox Media Inc. (www.babcox.com), an Akron, Ohio-based B2B multimedia company with concentration in the automotive aftermarket, powersports, performance, collision, commercial fleet, dealership, engine building and tire industries, is seeking an Automotive Technical Content Creator.  This is a full-time position.

 

The Automotive Technical Content Creator will play a critical role in writing, producing, editing, and publishing online content across our leading brands. This role is not just about writing—it's about bringing automotive service to life through engaging video content that resonates with our audience and drives digital engagement. This person would develop engaging content for automotive aftermarket in our 10,000-sq. ft. Garage Studio, as well as in the field working with shop owners and technicians that keep the automotive market moving. Ideally, the candidate would have 1 to 3 years of experience working in an automotive service shop, strong writing and communication skills, and looking to leverage his or her experience in a new career field.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

 

  • Education: High school graduate. Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Strong writing and communication skills. Must understand writing for a specific audience with clear and concise direction.
  • ASE-Certified Automotive Technician or equivalent automotive repair work experience.
  • Understands the latest automotive technology (ADAS, TPMS, EV Service, etc.).
  • Knowledge of the inner workings of an automotive shop or dealership service department.
  • Experienced in being in front of a camera for interviews, product demonstration etc. 
  • Ability to research technical topics using OE service information and aftermarket resources.
  • Experience and knowledge in content editing and basic graphic design.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently and collegially as a team member.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
