Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SEO Director to lead and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy that drives growth and visibility for our brand. The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in local SEO targeting, structured data implementation, external SEO planning, social media management, technical SEO, SERP optimization, funnel optimization, content marketing for services, and experience with email and text marketing campaigns. The SEO Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our online presence, improve organic search performance, and drive business goals through strategic SEO initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Local SEO Targeting:

  • Develop and implement localized SEO strategies to enhance visibility in specific regions.
  • Optimize Google My Business and other local listings, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor local search rankings and continuously adapt strategies to improve positioning.
  • Utilize geo-targeting tactics and manage location-specific content to attract local customers.

2. Structured Data Implementation:

  • Lead the integration of structured data (Schema markup) to enhance search engine understanding of the site.
  • Ensure correct implementation of rich snippets and other advanced search features (e.g., FAQ, breadcrumbs, product data).
  • Monitor the impact of structured data on search performance and recommend improvements.

3. SERP Optimization:

  • Optimize for visibility across Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs), including featured snippets, knowledge panels, and other enhanced search features.
  • Ensure effective use of meta titles, descriptions, and rich media to improve click-through rates (CTR) and rankings.
  • Analyze SERP layouts and continuously adapt strategies to improve organic visibility against competitors.
  • Use tools to track and monitor SERP features and adjust SEO efforts to capture more search real estate.

4. External SEO Plan:

  • Oversee external SEO activities including link-building, digital PR, and partnerships to improve domain authority.
  • Conduct regular audits of the backlink profile, ensuring a high-quality and diverse link portfolio.
  • Manage outreach campaigns to secure high-authority backlinks and brand mentions.
  • Track and measure the impact of off-page SEO initiatives on organic traffic and rankings.

5. Social Media Management & Integration:

  • Collaborate with the social media team to align content and promotional strategies with SEO goals.
  • Ensure social media channels contribute to SEO by optimizing profiles, posts, and integrating keyword strategies.
  • Monitor social signals and their impact on search engine rankings, providing actionable insights to improve visibility.

6. Technical SEO:

  • Lead technical SEO audits to identify issues related to site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and speed.
  • Implement solutions for improving website performance, including mobile optimization, page speed enhancements, and fixing broken links.
  • Collaborate with web development teams to ensure best SEO practices are adhered to in site design and new feature rollouts.
  • Stay up-to-date with algorithm changes and emerging technical SEO trends to keep the site ahead of competitors.

7. Funnel Optimization:

  • Work with the marketing and sales teams to create SEO strategies that optimize every stage of the conversion funnel.
  • Analyze user behavior and traffic patterns to refine SEO efforts that improve lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • Ensure landing pages are optimized for search engines and conversions through A/B testing, content refinement, and keyword optimization.

8. Content Marketing for Services:

  • Lead the development and execution of content marketing strategies specifically tailored for service-based offerings.
  • Create, manage, and optimize service-focused content such as case studies, white papers, blogs, and service pages.
  • Collaborate with content writers to ensure that all service-related content is aligned with SEO and user intent.
  • Perform keyword research and content gap analysis to identify opportunities for service-related content that drives traffic and leads.
  • Ensure content is optimized for both search engines and conversions, balancing informational value with business objectives.

9. Email & Text Marketing Campaigns:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop email and SMS campaigns that align with SEO and overall digital marketing strategies.
  • Ensure that email and text marketing content is optimized for engagement, delivering relevant and keyword-targeted messages.
  • Track and analyze the performance of email and SMS campaigns, measuring their impact on website traffic, SEO metrics, and conversions.
  • Integrate email and SMS strategies into the overall SEO and funnel optimization efforts to increase engagement and drive conversions.

10. Content Creation & Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with SEO goals, focusing on high-quality, keyword-optimized content.
  • Collaborate with content writers and creators to produce SEO-friendly blogs, articles, videos, and other formats.
  • Monitor content performance using analytics tools and optimize based on traffic, engagement, and conversion data.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in SEO, with a track record of leadership and successful campaigns.
  • Expertise in local SEO, SERP optimization, structured data, and external SEO strategies.
  • Experience in content marketing for service-based businesses.
  • Strong background in developing and optimizing email and text marketing campaigns.
  • Solid understanding of technical SEO, social media integration, and content marketing.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Experience with web development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing large-scale SEO projects or teams.
  • Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and funnel marketing.
  • Certifications in SEO or digital marketing are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or similar degree
