Position Summary
The Mortgage Document Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and processing mortgage related documentation. This position involves verifying, preparing, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all documents required for mortgage transactions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of mortgage processes and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve Texas Tech CU members and employees pleasantly and professionally in accordance with Texas Tech CU core values of Trust, Respect, Excellence, Kindness, and Stewardship
- Answer business partner inquiries, requests, complaints, and concerns in a timely, effective, and kind manner whether received in-person, online, text, or by telephone
- Commit to continuing education and training; retain the ability to adapt and master an ever-changing industry, including regulatory requirements, updates, and trends
- Management of required documents for the loan file after initial call with Member to Contract being received
- Send follow up document requests via Ncino to Member(s) based on Loan Officers need list that was previously sent
- Prepare and organize mortgage loan files for processing, including collecting, reviewing, and validating necessary documents
- Maintain and update mortgage files, ensuring that all documents are accurately recorded and securely stored
- Manage follow up reminders within Ncino to Member for outstanding requested items.
- Ensure all documents have been successfully brought into Encompass and organized accurately within eFolder
- Manage Loan Officer’s pipelines for prompt follow ups and updating the last contact date
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to documentation, working with the relevant parties to ensure timely resolution
- Order documentation from third parties as needed including but not limited to VOE, VOD, Credit Supplements, Payoff Requests
- Prep file for Contract specialist and complete all required items within the loan file before handing off to Contract Specialist.
- Ensure positive communication is maintained with all stakeholders in a transaction including but not limited to Texas Tech CU members, employees, and all interested third parties
