Job Summary:

The Accounting Clerk provides general administrative, and accounting support across multiple departments.  Will perform cash handling and reconciliations, accounts receivable invoicing and payment processing, staff travel arrangements and maintenance of electronic and paper files.  Will provide administrative, accounts payable and payroll related supports as requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensures accurately and timely:

  • Processing invoices and ensuring daily sales activity is recorded correctly.
  • Reconcile customer payments to outstanding invoices, ensuring entry of all outstanding activity and accuracy of eventual payments.
  • Process customer statements and perform collections duties as necessary.
  • Input employee information for HR and PR related activities.
  • Maintain accounts receivable, customer payments and contracts, and purchasing documents in electronic and/or hard copy.
  • Maintains complete records in both electronic and hard copies
  • Maintain vendor and customer relationships.
  • Provide applicant processing, onboarding and human resource supports.
  • Provide accounts payable support.
  • Provide administrative supports.
  • Assists co-workers and management as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to have reliable attendance and be flexible in working an evening or weekend day when work- loads are excessive.

  • Ability to be organized and keep meticulous electronic and paper files;
  • Skilled in excel, word and other computer software;

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent level competency in reading, writing and mathematics
  • At least one year of administrative experience required
  • Driver’s License Preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
